The Maitre'd greets you at Tweeds with a warm smile, and seems to know how to properly space & find a great table for you. The most tempting cranberry nut rolls are brought to the table imported from Brooklyn daily. The wine choices are refreshing, reasonable and local. We tried Lenz 2004 chardonnay which was perfectly chilled. The chef cooks traditional American fare including locally raised bison. The liver pate has rightfully won an award, served on crackers with gerkins, & small dabs of german mustard. The salads are average. The entrees and deserts are outstanding. The fresh sole was served with perfectly cooked wild rice pilaf and fresh ginger and a touch of a flavorful cream sauce under the dish which perfected the flavors. The bison was well seared on the outside and tender on the inside, with a cognac cream sauce and a reduction appeared to the left of the plate. The potatoes & asparagus were perfectly cooked. Deserts were orignal and fresh. Tirimasu was exceltionally flavorful as was the warm pumpkin soufle and whiped cream. The word for Tweeds is "flavor". Ambiance and service exceeded our expectations.

Service was friendly and fast. Casual ambiance. Burgers $11 somewhat puny, Fish & Chips $18. Local tap beer. Simple pub menu. Unpretentious, "Un-Hampton, cozy, comfortable, popular with locals. Booths available.

Big Views, Great Food, and A Great Respite... The Sea Grill has one of the best views in the Hamptons for dining... Just because it's beautiful, doesn't mean it's can't compete with our trendiest picks.. In fact it's a cool place to go when an after dinner walk along the shore is the perfect night cap..... The Gurney's restaurant has culinary delights piqued our interest this year.. including tuna carpaccio... morning-caught fish, locally harvested shellfish, farmers organic produce and regional specialties such as the famous long Island duck. Better still is the expanded wine selection... heavyweight Italian wines from the House of Banfi, local Northfork wines.. and more..
